Five Great Christmas Present Ideas for Mum - Shopping

When Mum opens her Christmas present this year, you want to take her breath away... not because the gift is so bad, but because it's oh so good. But "what can I get my Mum for Christmas?" you scream. You've gone down the toiletries route. Exhausted the perfume and got her just about every bleedin' cookery book under the sun. Settle down. Chill out. Put your feet up, (or maybe make yourself a nice cuppa first!). Done that? Okay. Now relax, and cast your eyes over this article. May the peace be with you, folks.

Let's face it. Mum's the busiest person in the family when the Christmas festivities kick off in your home, if my own Mum's anything to go by. She's normally in a world of her own cleaning, making decorations, Christmas food shopping, and almost every other job you can think of during the festive season.

Despite slaving away, she rarely forgets to buy pressies for each and every member of my family. And I can safely say she's always - apart from the year she bought me an onion cutter - made the right gift choice for me. She just seems to know. I don't know how, she just does.So don't you feel your Christmas present for Mum should be special too? It's your responsibility to choose a gift that not only oozes practicality, but also pizzazz. That is to say if you love your dear, doting mummy. Smiley face.

Below are some Christmas present ideas for mum she'd surely love to receive...

5. Personalised Spoof Newspaper. You can now get your mitts on newspapers all about her. Up for grabs are newspaper headlines like: "Best Mum" and "Sexiest Woman Alive" to name but a few. If you think that your Ma's the bee's knees, what better way to tell her?

4. Personalised Booze. Has she got a soft spot for wine? Or is she partial to a bit a' bubbly? From Ros? wine to Champagne, personalised booze will tickle her taste buds as much as it will her emotions, since the bottle label features her name and your personal message. Just make your message a nice one!

3. Personalised chocolate. We're not talking Ferrero Rochers or a box of Tesco's finest Belgian choccies. As yummy as they are, they wouldn't be appreciated half as much as a bar of chocolate, printed with her name and a special message. You can get Christmassy themed chocolate bars, not to mention sumptuous boxes of handmade truffles specially chosen by you. Mmmmm.

2. Engraved compact mirrors. Every Mum likes to check her appearance from time to time, whether it's to put on her face powder, lippie, or to make sure her mascara hasn't smudged. It's a known fact. A handbag mirror is a MUST-HAVE accessory for any Mum and will save her those dreadful lipstick-on-teeth moments, not to mention the eyelash-in-eye episodes. But the difference is personalised mirrors can be engraved with her name, date or message on the lid, adding even more "ooh la la" to it.

1. Pamper Hampers. Most Mums love to be pampered. And what better way to indulge her this Christmas than by bestowing her with a gorgeous beauty hamper, laden with gifts to invigorate her senses and excite the palate? From scented candles and deliciously aromatic soaps to moisturising body lotions and sparkling Ros? wine, these gifts will spoil her from top to toe! Just run a bath and let the hamper do the rest.So you see? Seeking out Mum Christmas presents isn't nearly as tricky as you initially suspected. Just keep it pretty. Keep it practical. But most of all, keep it personal. Voila.
