Christmas is almost here and that means that parents are going to be panicking about what they should get their gamer sons or daughters. The technology that is needed for this type of gaming has only been around for a few decades, so most parents are left woefully in the dark when it comes to gaming knowledge. Just what is an Xbox 360? What is a PS3? What do I do for Christmas? Here are 5 great ideas for presents for avid gamers.
1. i-eX gaming chair. One of the biggest problems gamers run into is comfort. Often gaming sessions will last for hours on end. Back pain is a very common problem. With a high end gaming chair, such as the i-eX, those gaming sessions will be done in complete comfort. Plus, the lack of pain is healthy for your kid.
2. A high definition TV. A gaming system can have all the graphical capabilities in the world. Without the proper TV, those high definition graphics aren't going to show up. Both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 are capable of displaying resolutions up to 1080px. This means that you need a TV with this same resolution. TVs always look best when they are displaying their native resolution. The Wii is only capable of 480px resolutions. If your child only has a Wii, you don't necessarily need a high resolution TV. However, consider getting a big TV. Bigger is always better!
3. Wireless Controllers. Wired controllers can ridiculously obnoxious sometimes. The wires get tangled with other wired controllers, they get tangled in themselves, and they can be tripped over which can result in broken equipment. Each system has a wireless type of controller. Just look up the system title and wireless controller in the same sentence on google and you'll find what you need.
4. A new PC. One of the biggest downfalls of PC gaming is the fact that they can become out of date very fast. Buying a new PC is the only option sometimes. Some PCs are upgradeable, but you need technical knowledge of your system to buy the right components, so buying a new PC is the best option.
5. A gaming mouse/keyboard. These may seem a bit over the top, but they can really help in some games. Gaming mice have a more precise tracking system and gaming keyboards have extra keys for gamers.
